Once you insert the free 4G Talk Home Mobile SIM into your mobile or smartphone, your device will automatically identify your location and set the Local Emergency Alerts accordingly. Still, if you want to select these settings manually, just read on below:
Based on your device, there are several differences in the setting menu. Still, we will highlight the most basic menu options so you can quickly turn on your Local Emergency Alerts.
For iOS:
- Select Settings
- Click Notifications
- Toggle ON the Local Emergency Alerts
For Android:
- Go to Settings, click Sounds and click Advanced. You will see an option for Emergency Broadcasts
- Open Settings, click Wireless & Networks and tap on More. You may see an option for Cell Broadcasts
- Open Settings and go to General Settings. Here you will see an option for Emergency Alerts
- Go to the text message app and choose Message Settings. You may see an option for Emergency Alert Settings
