The first thing you should check is to see if you have a decent signal, without the cell connectivity texts are going nowhere.
Another essential aspect to consider is, whether are you out of mobile credit or the current plan includes text messages or not?
- Keep in mind that premium or short code numbers usually aren’t included in the allowance.
- If you’re a Pay As You Go user, you might have blocked some numbers that aren’t included in the allowance.
- Ensure that you’ve got enough credit to cover the cost for the text message.
Check your device message configurations
If you can’t send a message, you might need to set up SMS service center number (SMSC). The SMSC handles all the SMS / text message operations on a wireless network. It ensures that the SMS that is sent from one mobile phone reaches its destination successfully. The SMSC number is stored on the SIM card. Set it up to work with Talk Home Mobile by following the steps below.
SMSC is +44 787 000 2408.
For Android
To set or update the SMS service center number on your SIM card, follow the steps below.
- Open the Messaging app.
- Go to the menu (three vertical dots), on the top right corner.
- Tap the “Settings” and then head to “Advanced” settings.
- Update the “Message Centre Number” or check if it’s set correctly.
For iOS
To set SMS service center number on iOS, follow the steps below.
- Open the “Phone” application on iPhone.
- Go to “Keypad” option to dial the following number: **5005*7672*+447870002408#.

Incoming Messages
Incoming messages totally depend upon your device’s settings. Make sure you’ve got enough space on your device and a decent signal.
