Before you can start making international calls, you’ll need to know all the codes involved, i.e., exit code, country code, and area codes, which will be used with the actual phone number of the recipient. To make an international call using Talk Home Mobile, follow the steps below.
- First, dial your country’s exit code, which is usually between one to three digits long. You can use the plus sign (+) sign if you don’t know your country’s exit code.
- Then comes the country code for the destination country you’re calling. You can find the list of all the country codes to get started.
- Add the area or city code you’re calling. Smaller countries don’t have area codes, while large countries such as India or US have hundreds, which can be found with a simple search like “Chicago + area code.”
- Finally, append the subscriber or phone number of the person you want to call and press the call button.
Note: Some countries follow different numbering formats for landline and mobile phones. So, before you make a call, check if there’s any specific code requirement. For example, in England, a landline number can start with 02, while a mobile number can start with 07.
Similarly, if a phone number starts with a 0 known as the trunk code, don’t include it.
