I Have been Charged for Internet Access When I Use Wi-Fi?

Modified on Mon, 27 Jun, 2022 at 1:23 PM

Some mobile phones switch from Wi-Fi to Mobile Internet depending on the signal strength. You can prevent your smartphone from using Mobile Internet by deactivating the data option on the device while using Wi-Fi connection.

Your mobile phone is designed to update Apps, emails, location, weather, backup other apps and much more, all running in the background without you being aware. And if you have enabled these things to use Mobile Internet, you might be incurring charges that you are unaware of them even happening.

Therefore, whenever you’re not using Mobile Internet, try to turn it off as this will prevent the handset from using any mobile data.
