What Should I Do if My Handset is Locked?

Modified on Thu, 3 Aug, 2023 at 11:28 AM

If the new Talk Home Mobile SIM card doesn’t work on your handset, it might be due to a SIM lock on your handset.

When you buy a new mobile handset from a provider with a contract, it means it’ll only work with the provider from whom you bought it.

If your contract is over with your current provider, you can remove the lock without paying anything. For that, you’ll have to contact your existing provider through any channel and request the code to remove the SIM lock.

Moreover, when you insert your Talk Home Mobile SIM card, and the mobile handset screen shows anything like: “blocked,” “incorrect SIM,” “barred,” or “SP lock, these indicate that your mobile handset is locked to another network. To find out your options, call our friendly Customer Service ninjas at +44 330 993 7339 or email us at  cs-mobile@talkhome.co.uk to get you going.
